Course Title: Plumbing 2D Drafting Training

Course Duration: 45 Days (1.5 Months)

Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Software Used: AutoCAD (or any equivalent CAD software.

Course Content:

🧭 Module 1: Introduction to Electrical Drafting

• Role of electrical drawings in construction
• Electrical symbols and standard notations (IS/IEC)
• Line types, scales, and drawing sheet setup
• Basic AutoCAD commands (line, copy, layer, text, etc.)

💡 Module 2: Lighting Layouts

• Internal lighting layout for residential & commercial buildings
• Placement of switches, lighting fixtures, and control boards
• Room-wise load calculation and lux level basics
• Loop-in and radial wiring techniques

🔌 Module 3: Power Layouts

• Socket and power outlet layout
• Wiring and circuit distribution
• Load balancing and panel location
• Cable sizing and routing in plan view

🛠️ Module 4: Circuit Diagrams & SLDs

• Preparation of Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Circuit representation of lighting, power, and UPS
• DB (Distribution Board) schedule preparation
• Earthing and lightning protection layout

📶 Module 5: Low Voltage Systems

• Telephone and data point layout
• CCTV, fire alarm, and PA system drafting basics
• Conduit/tray layout and routing
• Coordination with architecture and MEP

🏗️ Module 6: Project Drafting Practice

• Drafting complete electrical plan for a sample project
• Annotating and printing layouts for submission
• Preparation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) from drawings
• Coordination drawings with HVAC and plumbing

Outcome of the Course:

• Ability to independently prepare 2D electrical layouts and SLDs
• Understanding of real-site electrical layout requirements
• Readiness to work in design, execution, or consultancy roles
• Practical knowledge aligned with Gulf and Indian standards

Certification:

Upon successful completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion recognized by the training institute
